Slotted Angle is a strong, flexible, and multi-purpose solution widely used in both garage door installations and general construction. In garage door systems, it provides a reliable way to attach the opener motor and horizontal tracks to ceiling joists. Its strength allows you to bridge between ceiling rafters or supports, ensuring the opener’s rail is level and stable. To reduce noise and vibration transfer from the opener and moving door, it is recommended to place a ¼” (6 mm) rubber pad between the slotted angle and the roof truss.

Beyond garage doors, Slotted Angle is a truly versatile product. Manufactured from galvanised steel, these long metal strips with their triangular shape offer exceptional strength and rigidity.
