Apex garage doors marketed a number of different garage door openers over the years for which replacement handsets are no longer available due to Apex ceasing to trade in 1998.

Every radio remote control garage door manufacturer uses unique encryption technology, so your existing Apex garage door radio control receiver cannot be compatible with any other make of garage door transmitter even if the radio frequency is the same. Consequently, new or extra garage door remotes cannot be added to the existing Apex receiver without replacing the receiver and transmitter set.
